The Love and Never Buy Again Post

I know its been a while since but here I am with a list of Love and Never Buy Again products!

Love

St. Ives Skin Renewing Body Lotion w/ Collagen Elastin
It is very hard for me to find a good body lotion especially one that isn't greasy and will last all day. I usually used this product when i got out of the shower. I personally loved how St.Ives lotion just absorbed into my skin and kept me feeling soft and fresh throughout the day. The scent smells good (reminds me of candy lol), the scent is light to me. It was good enough that my fiance uses it because it work so well on his hands. I personally love all of St. Ives products I haven't found one that was disappointing or let me down yet. The good thing  about this St. Ives product and probably more products they carry is that they are formulated without parabens or phthalates, made with natural ingredients  not tested on animals and the bottle is made out of 20% post consumer recycled material.

Evolution Of Smooth lip balm smooth sphere
I purchased EOS lip balm in the flavor Summer Fruit at my local Ulta. I wasn't even planning on purchasing this product that day and i was using a coupon for Ulta where it needed to be a certain amount so i just grabbed what was close to me and it was this funny looking lip balm. Get home and start using it immediately. In certain times of the year my lips get really chapped. I have struggled with finding the right type of lip balm that wont create more of a chapped lip but instead heal it. I started noticing that this product really conditioned my lips and took away my chapped lips and it stayed like that throughout the day. The sphere shape makes it easy for application on my lips which i really like a lot. The smell is very light and it smells really good, i am really curious on trying other flavors once this runs out (which its almost there lol). EOS lip balms are 95% organic, 100% natural and paraben and petrolatum free. It is also packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil. I think the only complaint i have is i can't keep this in my pant pockets but i can deal with leaving it in my purse. Can't wait to buy more of these, i also hear they have a stick version i will have to see if they carry it in my drugstore or Ulta!

Carbonado

Today is day 1 of my 31 days of October makeup looks. This look was inspired by Carbonado which is commonly known as the black diamond. The actual diamond itself is so sparkly and beautiful, I thought I would make a makeup look based on my interpretation. I made sure there was lots of sparkle and dramatic colors used for

Product Review: Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser

I have been searching for a good face wash that is not expensive and will do the job. For the longest time I have been using Clean & Clear products, and they seem to do the job at first, but after awhile it looses its groove and my face gets used to it and it doesn't feel like its cleaning.

I picked up Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser last month and WOW! I have combination skin dry/ oily and I use this product every day since I bought it. The immediate difference I saw and felt was dramatic! It cleaned my pores like no other product I have ever used before in my life. The texture was light and easy to lather and a little goes a long way. You can feel it cleaning your face deep down to the pores with a light tingling assuring you its doing its job. When it came time to rinse the product off it was very easy and everything came off easily leaving no residue. I don't have bad acne to begin with but when I did get a problem area it did clear the blemishes quickly. My skin felt cool, clean and smooth after washing my face and dried. Especially the more dry areas of my face and the oily parts of my face were controlled. The smell of course is grapefruit, not overpowering for me (everyone is different). My skin appears more healthier with a more beautiful natural glow you can see and there is no tight/ residue feeling like the other cleansers left my face feeling.

The pricing is $7.99 (US) for 6oz of product, which I honestly don't think is bad for the results you get. I will be buying this product again maybe even trying other products of the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit line.

Product Review: St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

So a few months ago I decided to buy a new facial moisturizer St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer. Let's face it we are not getting any younger and anything to help reduce wrinkles and fine lines is always a plus. I always use St. Ives body wash, lotion and thought why not try out their facial moisturizer. My skin is combination where some parts can be really dry like my forehead, temples, cheeks, while my nose is oily.

IMATS Los Angeles 2012 Part 2

IMATS Los Angeles Part 2 - Passing through the aisles lots of flyers and info getting handed to you for certain booths to receive free gifts. I stopped by Shany entered my email address into i think was a iPad and boom instant goodie bag handed to you. The ladies were sweet complimented me on my blue smokey eyes and asked how I did it, Thank you Shany Cosmetics! The goodie bag included 2 eyeshadows dark brown-champagne, 3 eyeliners purple-black-bronze, nail care filers and a key chain.

Now on to the good stuff! My first stop was  Ben Nye booth which I have been longing to buy products from them. When they told me they were not selling items at their booth i was kind of bummed out and asked if she knew anyone selling Ben Nye at IMATS and she points across the away to another booth and told me to try them. The booth she pointed at was called Norcostco. I wasn't so bummed out after all and walked right on over and was looking around to see what they had. I ended up purchasing Ben Nye Lumiere Cream Stacks in Brilliant, Ben Nye Neutral Set translucent powder and picked up a Lumiere Grande color refill in Tangerine.

I wanted to try Bdellium Tools so I bought 3 brushes. I got 780 Pencil brush, 777 Shadow brush and 776 Blending brush. Very excited on trying these out, you can never have too many brushes.

Then I ended up at Nigel's Beauty Emporium. That is where I bought my Beauty Blender. Very excited on using this product. I wanted to buy a empty 12 pallet from them but they didn't bring them. So maybe next time? ;)

In the end I got some of the things I have been lusting over for a while now. Maybe next time I will go to the more busy booths and wait in line and finish my list off. I will hopefully be back next year in 2013 *crosses fingers*.

IMATS Los Angeles 2012 Part 1

Day 1 of IMATS Los Angeles June 23,2012 started off my day a little late but still got there on time but didn't realize how long the line was going to be, until I drove by when I was looking for a parking structure to park my car. The line to get into IMATS wrapped around the Pasadena Convention Center and the wait was about 40 minutes to an hour. I met a few other beauty enthusiasts in line and chatted it up with them, they were so sweet (Annie, Jazzlyn and Samantha). Getting to the inside of the convention center I was getting more and more excited and when I finally got my wristband to go inside it was official, the feeling of walking into the convention center was surreal.

I first walked into the double doors of the convention center and was like hey I am here what to do first? Since being me I had already planned what side I wanted to start on and chose to start on the further left hand side of the convention center and work my way to the other side and to the museum and special fx.  I walked around first then pulled out a list I made prior to going to IMATS to start finding the deals and booths. Since the trade show was sold out it was just a tad bit hard to maneuver around I know I didn't get to all of booths I wanted to buy from cause those lines were very long and I told myself I would go back. When I did it still looked the same so I just moved on and said maybe next time.

In between shopping, walking and talking I also managed to check out some of the educators on the Open Forum Stage. I got some great educational tips on digital make-up from Stan Edmonds from Vancouver Film School. Dominick Briguglio from Stila Cosmetics gave great tips and tricks on the upcoming fall fashion make-up. They had beautiful models walking the runway with some intense creative make-up looks absolutely fierce.Just a side note to Stila they had amazing male models roaming around The Model Mark, not to mention when they had to sweep the runway from the confetti of their show. The last show i caught was the Battle of the Brushes! Amazing artwork from many artists congrats to the winner of Battle of the Brushes and everyone that made it there. :)
